Seminars

May 12, 2007

The Chartrand Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation dedicated to improving student outcomes in the Duval County School System, sponsored competitive grants for the Superintendent's Standard Bearer and Accelerator Schools. One of those schools is Jean Ribault High School.

Lifeworks Jacksonville, Inc. entered the competition and was awarded this outstanding grant to provide six (6) one-day seminars for students, parents, and teachers at Ribault Senior High School.

Lifeworks Jacksonville has contracted with Lifestream Learning Systems, Educational Division, to develop and deliver the class using the principles and concepts outlined in the grant. The principles taught are universal core beliefs and concepts as outlined in the grant.

The Class

What makes this program different?  Action, activity, experience! There will be activities designed to enable participants to realize what role those principles play in their own lives. It is an experiential class…do it and remember it!

Students, parents and teachers are included so that all have a common experience and vocabulary to enhance the completion of Goals and Objectives. This class will provide activities for each participant to learn the roadblocks they create and how much the opinions of others have affected their lives, plus the concepts of Responsibility, Intentions and Results, Programs, Sharing and Communication.
